Elevated Insights Assessment provides scientifically-grounded and culturally-responsive psychological evaluation services to meet the needs of children and families in Denver and surrounding areas. We are seeking applicants who are bilingual and proficient in Spanish and English and offer bilingual supervision and consultation. We serve a high volume of Latinx/Hispanic and Spanish speaking families ages 18+months through adulthood and offer a range of diagnostic evaluation services including psychoeducational, cognitive/IQ, adaptive, ADHD and executive functioning, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and social emotional functioning. We employ a collaborative approach in working with families, schools, and communities and are looking for someone who is passionate about assessment and eager to work and grow within a supportive group practice.

We are seeking someone with the following training and skill set:

  • Proficient in Spanish and English and able to use both languages within a clinical setting
  • Experience working therapeutically with children, adolescents, and families (18+months and up)
  • Knowledge and experience (3 years minimum) in cognitive, ADHD, ASD, and LD diagnostic evaluations
  • Formal training and experience administering the ADOS-2
  • Experience working collaboratively with transdisciplinary providers including educators, therapists, doctors, case workers, advocates, etc.
  • Understanding of ADA, IDEA, 2E, and special education services including ALP, IEP, BIP, and 504-Plans
  • Doctorate degree in clinical, counseling, or school psychology
  • Licensed or working towards licensure in the state of Colorado

Postdoctoral Position Overview: EIA is seeking two fulltime postdoctoral candidates who are looking to gain expertise in becoming a testing psychologist. Candidates will receive focused training in psychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of developmental and mental health disorders and cooccurring conditions all with a strong emphasis in comprehensive autism testing.

Trainees will learn how to administer, interpret, and synthesize data across a variety of measures of cognition (verbal and nonverbal), executive functioning and attentional control, memory and learning, academic achievement, adaptive skills, socio-emotional and personality, and autism spectrum disorder. Candidates will immerse themselves in training on the Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule (ADOS-2) gaining confidence in administering Modules 1, 2, 3 and 4. Candidates will learn how to administer the Autism Diagnostic Interview Revised (ADI-R), Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing Autism Spectrum (MIGDAS-2), and Social Language Development Test (SLDT). Ongoing didactic trainings, weekly consultation and complex case presentations, and supervision will promote the integration of assessment skills. Bilingual trainees will also participate in reflective supervision and bilingual consultation. Candidates are expected to maintain an active and ongoing caseload and will conduct intakes and design testing batteries depending on the referral questions and history. Candidates will be responsible for administering, scoring, interpreting, and reporting on a variety of standardized testing measures, that are sensitive to culture, gender, language, trauma, economic determinants of health, and access to resources.

EIA also offers trainees with advanced specialty track opportunities in bilingual (English/Spanish) assessment and early childhood assessment (18+ months).

Early Childhood Assessment Track: This specialty track provides niche training in assessing toddlers starting at 18-months of age. Candidates will learn to administer the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development (Bayley-4), Mullen Scales of Early Learning, and Differential Ability Scales (DAS-II) to evaluate emerging cognitive development. Trainees will also dive into early childhood assessment for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) with training in the ADOS-2 Toddler Module and Modules 1 and 2. EIA works with a diverse population and candidates will also receive training in the Brief Observation of Symptoms of Autism (BOSA). In addition to training in the ADI-R candidates will also receive training in the Toddler Autism Symptom Inventory (TASI).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) Assessment Track: Candidates must be fluent in Spanish and will receive ongoing supervision and consultation with a bilingual psychologist supervisor. This specialty track aims to increase bilingual candidates’ confidence and clinical fluency in administering measures monolingually in Spanish and bilingually to increase access and expand services to our large Spanish speaking community. Trainees will administer a variety of measures including the Bilingual Verbal Abilities Test (BVAT), Weschler Intelligence Scale for Children, Spanish (WISC-V) and Batería IV Woodcock-Muñoz (pruebas cognitivas y aprovechamiento), along with nonverbal measures (Universal Nonverbal Intelligence Test UNIT-2) and tests with reduced linguistic demands (Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children KABC-II NU; DAS-II). Nuanced training related to bilingual administration of measures and the importance of testing the limits on verbally loaded tasks.

  • Knowledge and experience in cognitive, ADHD, ASD, and LD diagnostic evaluations.
  • Working collaboratively with clients and transdisciplinary providers including educators, therapists, doctors, case workers, advocates, etc. to inform and support assessment services.
  • Work collaboratively with the EIA team to promote communication and cohesion.
  • Exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills that demonstrate a high level of professionalism.
  • Maintain professional competence by pursuing opportunities for continuing education.

Compensation & Benefits:

Postdoctoral salary is $64,000 with a $2,000 bilingual stiped for qualified candidates, health/insurance benefits including retirement, $300 professional development stipend, specialized consultation/supervision groups, malpractice insurance, holiday and paid time off (23-days of PTO including time off for EPPP preparation).
