Our Cognitive Testing Process
At Elevated Insights Assessment, we use a thorough and individualized approach to cognitive testing. The process includes the following steps:
The process begins with an in-depth discussion of developmental history. This involves gathering information from parents using a structured interview to understand ongoing concerns and goals for the assessment.
Our standardized cognitive tests evaluate several key areas of brain function. The tests are administered in a quiet and comfortable setting, and they may include tools such as the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC-V), Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI-IV), Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS-V), or the Differential Ability Scales (DAS–II) to measure overall intelligence.
We hold a feedback session to discuss the results with parents, guardians, and/or the individual, ensuring a clear understanding of the findings and next steps.
Once testing is complete, we provide a detailed report that summarizes the results, including the individual’s cognitive strengths and any areas of concern. We also offer tailored recommendations for interventions, accommodations, or further evaluations if needed.
