
Dr. Anita Ferrell - Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Anita Ferrell is a psychologist candidate and experienced school psychologist dedicated to serving children and families through a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to care. She specializes in neurodiversity-affirming assessment of complex developmental, learning and behavioral conditions. Anita’s interdisciplinary training includes master’s degrees in molecular genetics and counseling psychology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, as well as doctoral training in school psychology from the University of Colorado-Denver.
A mental health special services provider in rural Colorado schools for 14 years, she is skilled in multidisciplinary evaluation and collaboration towards meeting the daily educational needs of children navigating complex conditions. She is experienced with program coordination and staff development for special education and therapeutic day treatment systems. In 2024, Anita was recognized as Colorado’s School Psychologist of the Year by the Colorado Society of School Psychologists in honor of her leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to advancing the well-being of children and families. She is passionate about empowering neurodiverse individuals through collaboration, advocacy and meaningful support in the evaluation process.
