
Yoscaira Gomez - M.S.Ed.
is a fifth-year doctoral student in the Clinical and School Psychology PsyD Program at Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, NY. Born and raised in New York City, Yoscaira is a proud first-generation Black Dominican graduate student. She earned her M.S.Ed. in Teaching Urban Adolescents with Disabilities and previously worked as a Bilingual Special Education teacher in the New York City Department of Education. Inspired by her work with youth and families, she founded Urban Lotus, a company dedicated to developing holistic workshops and programs focused on self-discovery, mental well-being, life skills, and holistic wellness.
Yoscaira currently serves as Chair of the Committee for Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CARED) within the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students (APAGS), where she is dedicated to fostering belonging, mentorship, and leadership opportunities for graduate students from historically marginalized backgrounds. She is passionate about neurodevelopmental psychology and consulting psychology with a focus on helping schools, organizations, and communities create environments where people can thrive. She hopes to promote holistic well-being through culturally responsive care while providing psychological services in both English and Spanish.
